The Branches of Biotechnology are given below:
a) Tissue Culture:
It is the technique of growing cell, tissues and organs in a artificially prepared nutrient media under aseptic condition.
b) Genetic engineering:
It is the selective alternation in the genetic makeup of an organism. It is also called as ” DNA Recombinant Technology”
c) Protoplast culture:
The fusion of protoplasm of somatic cells and then their culture is called as Protoplast culture.
d) Hybridoma technology:-
Hybridoma cell is formed of beta-cell and tumor cell. The technique of production of hybridoma cell is called hybridoma technology. Hybridoma cell is used in production of antibiotics.
